A wonderful handcrafted oak latch which is opened when the toggle is pulled. The leather string runs through the door via the oak grommets and pulls the latch up on the other side! The length of the leather string and the position of the hole can be adjusted to suit. 
 
The toggle latch comes complete with brass or black japanned fixing screws and pins, Suffolk style latch bar, keep, staple, oak grommets and fitting instructions. Supplied with either a large Suffolk or large grab handle.
 
Our latches can be ordered in either their beautifully smooth natural state or treated with a protective coat of matt Osmo Top Oil. We also offer the option of purchasing plugs which cover the fixing holes. Please note that the latch bar screw cannot be plugged so this screw will be visible - choose either solid brass or black japanned.
