News June 2020

Due to the impact of COVID-19, like everyone in the country, we have had a change to our plans for the year. All the country fairs that we had booked into have understandably been cancelled, so Bertha the horse box has been put out to field for the year.

This has provided a great opportunity for us to concentrate on our on line sales and we have been very lucky with support for our products. We have been able to receive timber from our supplier, British Hardwoods, and we have had no problems making or distributing our items. Postage has been a little slower due to the amount of mail that Royal Mail has been receiving and our local Post Office have worked their socks off to ensure that deliveries have continued.

We have been very busy with our Etsy online shop and have managed to produce a number of new lines. We have made some lovely large oak key rings which can be personalised - we made these for my mum as she keeps losing her keys and they have saved hours of hunting!

Another addition has been the oak floating hook - our ingenious fitting ensures that it fits flush to a surface. These are also available with a painted tip.

As more people have enjoyed bread making in the last couple of weeks our bread board and food safe waxes have been very popular.

Eco Friendly Packaging

This time last year we launched our eco friendly packaging and we have received lots of positive feedback about this. We recognise our responsibility to the environment and we endeavour to ensure that we achieve environmental best practice wherever possible.

So as it seems that we are emerging from lock down we would like to say a big thank you to you all for your continued support.

Jill and Wayne.
